**CHECK OUT THE UPDATES!** Hampton Blues Cottage

This home is going through some changes- some small, some big but one REALLY huge change!

This is one of the many attic blow outs we’ve done. This home was a single level- no stairs and just rafters. So we blew it out, and added some walls and stairs. And voilà, we have another level! Ha if only it were that simple.

Now, the upstairs has a flex space, another large bedroom, and a full bathroom. We used a pocket door for the bathroom to save space, and utilized the corner with some storage/shelving space. Take a look at that gorgeous shower- the window is one of my favorite parts. Natural light= the best light. The bedroom very easily fits 2 queen beds, and has a great storage space/closet with sliding doors- it’s hard to see in the picture but they look SO great. A mini split was added for heating/cooling and there’s a beautiful exposed beam. The flex space will be great area for a couch and media wall. So much added space/living area added with this blow out!

Here’s some before pictures to see where the stairs were added in-

And the after pictures with the added stairs plus the new upstairs!

Now onto the other changes- smaller scale of construction but they definitely make a difference.

First, the whole home got new flooring and paint throughout, it looks so fresh and bright! New flooring and paint can do SO much.

But the kitchen…oh man it looks GREAT. New kitchen cabinets were installed, new island, countertops and backsplash, and all new matching appliances- including a wine fridge built into the island. The pictures don’t show it all nor do it justice. But also the bright coral bowl and blue bar stools—chefs kiss.

Here’s some before pictures of the kitchen so you can really see the change-

The downstairs bathrooms had some updates as well- new countertops, cabinets, mirrors, and vanity lighting. But the master bath also got a brand new shower- it’s beautiful.

BEFORE

AFTER

Well there’s what I have so far…

Because- we’re not done yet!! I mean we’re not going to be doing any more blowouts or adding stairs but there will be some redecorating and I cannot wait to show you. The title may be a little confusing now but once the redecorating is done- it’ll make sense. 😉

SO, stay tuned!!

UPDATE BELOW WITH FINAL PICTURES!! 🙌🙌

Ok we are FINALLY done with this project! What an adventure! After many hours of sourcing and choosing the perfect furniture, bedding and decor, we ordered it in October. It is now March. 😖 I love pottery barn for their style, colors, and quality, but man is the shipping part of it THE WORST. Basically, after you place your order and give them all your money. 💸There were a couple items we knew were backordered or would need time to be made but it was just one delay after another, many separate shipments, some damaged items and one lost item (so sad about that- it was the perfect wall piece and by the time it got figured out they no longer had any in stock. 😢) but I think we got it done!

Now what you really care about- the after after pictures ⬇️

Here’s the living room- all new furniture, rug and decor.

The Master bedroom and bath. New bedroom furniture, rug, bedding, curtains, and decor in bedroom, hallway and bathroom.

The downstairs guest bedroom and bathroom. New bedroom furniture, bedding, rugs and wall art for bedroom and bathroom. This is technically the client’s daughters’ bedroom and bathroom so of course we had to make it cute and a little girly.

Now the upstairs guest room- new furniture (the dresser was actually brought up from the master and it looks so good!), bedding and decor.

And the last room- the upstairs flex space- new decor, furniture- except the couch and rug- it was moved from the living room and we found decor to work with what we already had, and it looks great! The “office” area will have a TV also!

What a transformation! Especially when you look at the pre remodel pictures.

It was SO fun to plan and then buy all these pieces and see them come together! Thanks for reading and looking at this project!
